SustainMatrix

SustainMatrix for Corporates

Do you know where your emissions really come from?

One group inventory of Scope 1, 2 and 3: your own fuel, the energy you buy, and your supply chain. See what is measured and what is estimated, and track progress to target.

The challenge

One consolidated inventory, from every site and supplier.

Group emissions depend on data from many sites, companies and suppliers, each in a different format. Pulling it together takes months of spreadsheets, and it is hard to tell measured figures from estimates.

  • Scope 1, 2 and 3 inventories by entity, site and category
  • Organisational consolidation and data approvals
  • Scope 3 hotspots and supplier engagement
  • Emissions intensity by revenue, headcount or output
  • Targets, pathways and progress tracking
  • Reporting aligned to recognised frameworks

Indicators that matter

How corporates performance is measured.

Three numbers that matter most, each with what it measures and what it is read against.

Emissions by scope

16,610tCO₂e

Scope 1 is fuel you burn, Scope 2 is electricity you buy, Scope 3 is your supply chain.

Supplier data share (Scope 3)

38%

How much of your supply-chain figure comes from real supplier data rather than estimates.

Intensity per revenue

12.4tCO₂e per $m

Total emissions per unit of revenue, or per employee or unit of output where more relevant.

Read against
Scope 2 shown two ways: the local grid average (location-based) and the electricity you contract for (market-based), with emission factors versioned by year.
Read against
Shows where supplier engagement will improve accuracy the most.
Read against
Read alongside absolute emissions, so growth and efficiency are not confused.

Business value

Investment and supplier engagement start where the gap is largest.

Good to know

Intensity per revenue moves with prices. Read it alongside absolute emissions.

Relevant capabilities

The platform, applied to your operations.

The same governed engine across sectors, configured with the indicators and comparisons you need.

Carbon accounting

Scope 1, 2 and 3 inventories by entity, site and category.

Supplier intelligence

Supplier data requests, quality grades and Scope 3 hotspots.

Data automation

Capture and classification of bills, invoices and records, reviewed by people.

Portfolio intelligence

Site and business-unit comparison on adjusted intensity.

Sustainability reporting

Outputs aligned to recognised frameworks, with an audit trail.

Decarbonisation planning

Targets, pathways and progress tracked against the baseline year.

Supports data and reporting aligned to the GHG Protocol, ISO 14064, GRI, ISSB, CDP, SBTi and CSRD/ESRS. Alignment is not certification: independent verification stays with your assurance provider.

Standards and frameworks

What changes

Outcomes your teams will notice.

Faster inventory cycles

Data collection, approval and consolidation happen in one place, not across spreadsheets.

Defensible numbers

Every figure carries its source, method and approval history.

Focused supplier engagement

Effort goes to the suppliers and categories that drive Scope 3.

Targets you can manage

Progress is visible by site and business unit, not only at year end.

Questions

Common questions from corporates teams.

Which frameworks does SustainMatrix support?

Calculations follow the GHG Protocol, and the platform supports data and reporting aligned to ISO 14064, GRI, ISSB, CDP and SBTi. It does not replace independent verification.

How is Scope 3 handled when supplier data is incomplete?

Categories can start from spend- or activity-based estimates and move to supplier-specific data as it arrives. The share of each method is shown, so improvements in data quality are visible.

Can we consolidate several legal entities?

Yes. Results roll up by entity, region and business unit under the organisational boundary you define, with access set by level.
